South Carolina junior wide receiver Bryan Edwards announced Tuesday that he will return for his senior season next year.
All three juniors who considered entering the NFL Draft have now announced that they will return for one more year. Quarterback Jake Bentley and center Donell Stanely had previously announced they would return.
Edwards made the announcement on Twitter.
Edwards was second on the team in receiving last year with 55 receptions for 846 yards and seven touchdowns. He had three 100-yard games and caught a pass in every game.
Edwards is already one of the top receivers in school history, ranking fifth in career receptions (163) and sixth in career yards (2,229). He has 16 career touchdowns, which is tied for ninth with Deebo Samuel and Bruce Ellington on the all-time list. He is second in school history in consecutive games with a reception with 38.
He needs 45 catches, 814 yards and eight touchdowns to be No. 1 in those categories.
Edwards will lead another strong receiving corp for Bentley and South Carolina next season. A three-year starter, he will join junior Shi Smith, sophomore Josh Vann, returning sophomore OrTre Smith and a host of others to give the Gamecocks one of the deepest receiver groups in the SEC.
