Former South Carolina offensive lineman Dennis Daley will see a familiar face at the upcoming Carolina Panthers rookie minicamp.
That’s because Ulric Jones, the former Gamecock defensive lineman, was invited to the minicamp as well, per a report from The Charlotte Observer Panthers beat writer Jourdan Rodrigue.
Jones spent three seasons at SC, where he played in 26 games and made nine starts in his career. He made 71 total tackles during his time with the Gamecocks. Jones played in all 13 games (one start) in 2017 as a fifth-year season and had 29 tackles and one sack. He set a season high with seven tackles at Georgia.
After he was not chosen in the NFL Draft last season, Jones was invited to a rookie minicamp with the Seattle Seahawks. He also spent time with the Birmingham Iron on the Alliance of America Football.
