Kym Hilinski left her seat early during the third quarter of South Carolina's Saturday night win over Kentucky and walked over to the 14 UofSC students who painted themselves black with white letters spelling “Hope Never Sinks.”
The mom of Gamecock quarterback Ryan Hilinski rewarded each of them with bracelets that say Hilinksi’s Hope.
Then, when the game ended, the group received a visit from the man himself. Hilinski came over to the students and shook each of their hands before leading them and a crowd that gathered in a prayer.
Hilinski went 15 for 27 and threw for 140 yards against the Wildcats and led the Gamecocks to their first SEC win of the season.
