Chris Silva ranked seventh in the entire NBA in Player Efficiency Rating (PER) during the preseason and ranked second to only Zion Williamson among rookies. Undrafted, the South Carolina alumnus dominated the minutes he played for the Miami Heat, and for it he earned a two-way contract.

The 6-9, 234-pound forward scored eight points on 3-of-3 shooting and grabbed six rebounds in just 11 minutes. He also had three blocks, including two on No. 2 overall pick Ja Morant.
