Mark Kingston met with reporters on Tuesday to give perspective on his team’s season and to give a look at its future.

The Gamecock baseball head coach announced coaching staff changes, talked about some of the high and low points of the season and spoke about several individual players.

"This is a program that’s been good for a long time and will be good for a long time,”" Kingston said. "This year was a speed bump, obviously, but it doesn’t affect how good we’re going to be in the future."

He spoke about the team’s incoming class of incoming players. He called the potential group of players coming in from junior colleges the "best collection" of players going to one single major program in the country.

"I don't even think that can be debated," he said.

He also gave injury updates on Graham Lawson and Ridge Chapman and spoke about his expectations for Noah Campbell, Andrew Eyster and Luke Berryhill.
