South Carolina athletics director Ray Tanner always talks about the family atmosphere within the athletics department and in picking Will Muschamp for the head football coaching job, he feels like he found an individual that will fit well within that family.

In fact, Muschamp agrees, relaying during his introductory press conference,  "there's a great blend here. Anytime I meet with a student-athlete, I talk in terms of a great blend academically, athletically, socially, and spiritually for what you're looking for in a school, and I see that in South Carolina."

If social media and in talking with other South Carolina head coaches is any indication it's obvious that Muschamp will fit in quite nicely with the Gamecock family.

Just minutes after Muschamp made his first tweet as the head coach of the Gamecocks that read "Gamecock Nation, it starts NOW!!!," South Carolina men's basketball head coach Frank Martin tweeted back to Muschamp, "welcome onboard. Now let's roll!"

South Carolina head volleyball coach Scott Swanson tweeted, "welcome to the Gamecock family, we are excited for the future!"

South Carolina women's basketball head coach Dawn Staley tweeted to her newest colleague, "welcoming our newest gamecock head coach. Come see us soon coach at the CLA for a hearty Gamecock Nation ovation!"

South Carolina men's golf head coach Bill McDonald articulated on Twitter to Coach Muschamp, "welcome to the Gamecock family, coach. You and your family will love Columbia and USC."

The above tweets are just a small sampling of the tweets made by the Gamecock head coaches who are thrilled to have Muschamp in the fold. All of them in some way either retweeted a social media post or more welcoming Muschamp to South Carolina.

To further emphasize how much the head coaches consider it a great move to bring in Muschamp just minutes after her second-ranked Gamecocks knocked off No. 14/13 Duke at the Colonial Life Arena on Sunday, Dec. 6, Staley was asked how she thinks Muschamp will do with Gamecock football.

Her response?

"I think he's going to win us a national championship," Staley said.
